Free cigar to first hundred answers, call now!

Published by J.D. Ryan at 6:38 pm under name that movie

What movie is this from?

Extra credit: What recent popular movie (last few years) was heavily influenced by this?

See the comments for the answer as well as a few more pointless trivia questions. I think I’m gonna do a weekly installment of this. God help you.

You got the extra credit part right… Quentin Tarrantino was heavily influenced by this film.

Hi there…is it “Thriller, En Grym Film (1974)?

(Did I win some cigars just as I’m clawing at the drywall trying to stop smoking??)

Your box of ‘El Producto Stinko’s’ should be arriving shortly. The beauty with the gun is the Swedish actress Christina Lindberg, who was big in the early 70’s European ’sexploitation’ film craze.

Ok, here’s another one for you…What was the American release of this called, and what made it different than the Euro release?

AND for a real Cuban cigar, what relation does the U.S. release of this have of the blaxploitation films released here around that time?

Now hang on…I want a lawn chair and an encylopedia set too…

It was called “Hooker’s Revenge” and probably the difference was in the editing (I haven’t seen it but its probably pretty controversial stuff).

Ok, you get the lawn chair but not the encyclopedia… it DID go into limited release as ‘Hooker’s Revenge’, but was more well known by another title here in the U.S. And there’s a connection with the distributors of that picture and some of the best-known blaxploitation filcks.

You were right about the editing.. ‘Thriller’ was the first movie banned in Sweden, because in some of the sex scenes, they edited in hardcore sex scenes (and pretty lame ones, too) that weren’t the actors in the film. There was also a scene where the character gets her eye removed. They actually used a real cadaver for the scene.

So you gotta do a little more digging around to get that encyclopedia. Is one that was updated until 1972 ok?

I watched it the other night and felt like I had to take a shower right after words. Pretty nasty stuff, not my usual thing. But I’m a sucker for a beautiful gal with a shotgun, I guess. I can’t honestly say I’d recommend it to anyone. Believe it or not you can get the uncut one from Netflix.
