Edwards out
Yeah, Edwards is out, too. That’s a bummer, since he’s the only Dem (short of Kucinich) that seems to get it. If he’s smart, he’ll hold on to those delegates, and work out a deal at the convention to get himself an AG spot. It’d be nice to have an AG that took his job seriously, and wouldn’t be squishy about going after corporate crime, too.
So this presents a real problem for me in the primary. Neither Hillary or Obama are palatable options from where I’m standing. Neither are trustworthy. I don’t trust Hillary, simply because of her DLC-triangulation history, and I don’t trust Obama because he’s big on rhetoric, short on specifics, and his approach is incredibly naive. I think if he gets in there, the GOP will hand him his ass until he learns what “fighting” is all about.
So I really don’t know what to do. One of them will more than likely be President. And big props to Edwards in staying above the childish behavior that HRC and BO have let the campaign devolve into. Let’s hope that the nudge he’s given the other candidates towards a slightly more populist slant will stick.

I wouldn’t mind him being the AG. There’s no way that he’ll be VP though.
How about that big Hillary win in FL? Boy, she really brings home the bacon when it doesn’t matter one bit about the final outcome. That would have been 4 wins to Obama’s two if the national political partys had been able to control their own state partys…sheesh…
"Boy, she really brings home the bacon when it doesn’t matter one bit about the final outcome."
Should be her campaign slogan.

I’m flattened at Edwards leaving the race. I don’t like BO or HC. Once again, it’ll be the least of evils, instead of someone I really was behind. Blech.
I know the feeling. Actually, I think he’ll still be on the ticket in VT, as well as Kucinich, because the ballots were already printed.
He’s on the ballot this time around? Why couldn’t he do that last time around?? I had to write his name in in 2004, which was totally pointless since write-ins hardly ever win. I’m still peeved about that…
I felt flattened way back when Gary Hart blew his chance to be President. Same thing when Dean imploded…he was the first and last politician that I ever donated money too. I thought it was the end of the world…it wasn’t though.
I haven’t donated anything this time around (mostly because I can’t afford it), but there’s nobody running currently that I would give money to. I’ve thought about sending a few small donations through ActBlue to Dems that are taking on incumbent Bush Dog Dems in primaries..
I think it depends on when he drops out. If the ballots are already printed, it’s too late. At least that’s what I heard.
