Overheard in a Facebook conversation with a conservative. Really:

Nothing wrong with 16th century thinking.. we need more of it because this world is in chaos now so imagine what it will be like 50 years from now!

Sums up the entire movement better than I ever possibly could.

    So, I read that conversation on your facebook page and, holy crap, that woman either is very bad at articulating her positions or is just batshit insane.  I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.  The “right-wing noise machine” is in overdrive these days.  Anyone who listens to that crap every day is bound to sound like a nut job.  Seriously, I do not want to be a part of it.  That’s a big reason why I don’t want to blog under the name “She’s Right” anymore.

    Hey, I think I might able to top that.  This is from a “conservative” on another website debating whether or not federal funding should go to abortions:
    “low-income people should settle for facials, blow jobs, etc. They should not risk pregnancy by having sexual intercourse. So they can have all the sex they want, just not sexual intercourse because that amounts to gambling that they will not get pregnant. That is a choice.”
