More of this please
I can only imagine if there were more activism like this on a broad range of issues instead of the mindless marches and silent vigils, we’d be in a much better place right now.
But that would require doing something.

Do something then, Ryan. Organize some kind of active response here in Vermont. Please don’t tell me that you are one of those people who believes that blogging is doing something.

But whatever you do, don’t ask your congressman a “yes or no” question. That’s just rude.

This is great, but how is it different than the mindless “occupy the office of Peter Welch, Bernie Sanders, and Pat Leahy?” How is this different and/or effective than Scott Colby’s pathetic “yes, no, or waffle” stunt? After a while, direct action gets old too.

I meant Michael Colby.

Effective, not sure, but it is actually keeping them from doing their destructive work for the time being . Plus, I think they’re making a statement by putting their own lives at risk. Which is what I’ve been saying all along, too few in the movement for social change are willing to put their lives on the line for anything, anymore. Hell, I’m one of em. I think direct action can be great, but it’s gotta be bold. Real bold.
